1. What is SilverlightShow MVP Program
SilverlightShow MVP program aims at giving recognition to Silverlight enthusiatsts who are actively contributing to the development of the community at SilverlightShow by awarding them an MVP title, and giving them access to a number of MVP benefits.
2. Who may apply for a SilverlightShow MVP
To become a SilverlightShow MVP you should:
- be a member of SilverlightShow. If you are not a member yet, you may sign up here (read the top 10 reasons to sign up).
- regularly contribute to the content of SilverlightShow by posting unique and valuable articles, news (news should be unique only within the SilverlightShow site), participating in discussions, tips, etc. There is no minimum number of content items required to be posted within a specific timeframe. It is important to post unique, interesting, comprehensive, hot content, supported by examples, demos, links to additional resources, etc.
- provide constructive feedback and ideas on improvements, new content sections, new article topics, contests, etc.
- be actively involved with the development of the Silverlight community as a whole
- help us promote SilverlightShow through blog posts, forums outside www.silverlightshow.net, social media, local user groups, etc.
- be actively participating in SilverlightShow forum discussions (coming soon).
The SilverlightShow MVP title may also be awarded for activities not listed above, but contributing to:
- creating valuable content for SilverlightShow that drives attention and traffic
- promoting SilverlightShow as a major source of Silverlight resources
- growing the community at SilverlightShow
3. What are the benefits from becoming a SilverlightShow MVP
SilverlightShow is one of the most popular Silverlight portals, with more than 150,000 visits/month and about 50% new users. As a SilverlightShow MVP you will have the chance to build a name in the Silverlight community, get recognized as an expert and trusted professional, may promote your business, blog, etc through the pages of SilverlightShow. You will also take advantage of a number of additional benefits:
- 'SilverlightShow MVP' badge displayed in your SilverlightShow profile
- Profile featured in SilverlightShow MVP section

- Each year the 2 most active SilverlightShow MVPs will be awarded a pass to a major IT conference at SilverlightShow expense
4. Selection process for SilverlightShow MVPs
We understand that your involvement with the life of SilverlightShow community depends on your free time, not just enthusiasm. That is why we will give you ample time to show your commitment and involvement with SilverlightShow, and meet the MVP application criteria described above.
Twice a year the SilverlightShow team will be reviewing all pending applications for a SilverlightShow MVP, and award a SilverlightShow MVP title to those persons whose activities have mostly contributed to the success and popularity of SilverlightShow. The elected MVPs will be announced on SilverlightShow Home page.
5. Renewal of the SilverlightShow MVP title
The SilverlightShow MVP title is given for a period of 1 year. After a year the MVP title may be renewed, or not, depending on the continuous involvement and contribution of the SilverlightShow MVP to the success of SilverlightShow. Renewed SilverlightShow MVP titles will be announced on SilverlightShow Home page.
Apply for a SilverlightShow MVP
