One of the few major failings of the Windows Phone space as it stands right now is the lack of a well-populated app store. There is a lot going in favor of Windows Phone 7.5 compared to the competition, but without that sort of potential personalization it is hard to attract sufficient interest to grab a huge share of the market.
Microsoft clearly can’t help but be aware that this is a problem, which makes it even more puzzling to hear that they have decided to limit the number of developers who get early access to their new mobile operating system.
