We are happy to announce that we have created a new version of SilverlightShow. You can see the beta at: http://new.silverlightshow.net/. You are welcome to make as much test as you want and tell us what you think about it. Any feedback about issues and things you think that can be improved are appreciated.

Here are some of the new features:

  • Completely new home page: You can easily go through the titles of the latest News, Articles, Tips, etc. and order them by different criteria. All this is ajax based and is very fast.
  • New navigation: We have put a new expand menu so you can acces easily every category or subcategory.
  • New features in the Articles, News, Books, etc. pages: You can sort the items by different criteria, you can decide how many items per page to be show, you can decide whether to view only titles, full text or short text.
  • Possibility for everybody to easily submit News, Articles, Tips, Showcase, Books, Events and Jobs.
  • We have created a caching system so the most visited pages open faster.

Great improvement!!! The homepage gives much more options to get the information I like. I visit your site daily and look for new articles and tipps. It would be great to have an additional option "articles by author" below each article to quickly find related content and other (outstanding) articles.

Keep on this great work and put this improvement online!!!

    Hi srosenhtal,

Thank you very much for your positive feedback!! We really need to hear what you think about the new version of the site, because it is made for all of YOU!

We will discuss how exactly to implement the 'articles by author' functionality you offered.

Thanks once again and hope to hear from you soon.

    Ilia
