The book of Laurent Bugnion expected to appear under the name "Teach Yourself Silverlight in 24 Hours" will now be part of the SAMS Unleashed series. Respectively the name is also changed to "Silverlight 2 Unleashed". The book will be full colored just like the one for WPF if you remember it and will be a great experience not only for the ones that are already familiar with the Silverlight technology but for the people who are just starting with it.

The Swiss MSDN Team shows how to extend the user interface of the Silverlight application with additional content downloaded on users' demand in their post Well Performing Silverlight Application with XAML On Demand.

John Papa shows how to create a simple Silverlight 2 progress bar for web services. Don't miss this tutorial!

If you want you can now read the article of John Papa published in the MSDN magazine here - Service-Driven Apps With Silverlight 2 And WCF.

Don't forget the Silverlight: Write and Win! contest with some cool prizes and some cache. So you have 4 weeks to post your great article and grab some of the prizes. Here is one more article posted for the contest. It's written by John Papa and is about creating a Silverlight 2 User Control from a Popup Control.
