Have you heard about the accelerators in IE8? For all of you interested in what an accelerator is and how to build one on your own, read this.

As a new functionality, accelerators might improve the user experience on the web, that’s why we decided to create one that enables you to search for posts on SilverlightShow by specific terms from within the context of another web site. Follow the 3 steps bellow and tell us what you think.
Here are the steps you have to follow to install and use the accelerator:
1.       Download and install the latest IE8
2.       Install the SilverlightShow web accelerator by clicking the link ‘Install SilverlightShow Accelerator’ at the bottom of this post. Confirm the installation by clicking ‘Add Provider’ button on the dialog that pops up.

3.       Navigate to a page for example this forum thread on the official Silverlight site and select the word ‘Silverlight Toolkit’, then right click on the selected word and click ‘Search on SilverlightShow’ like shown below:

The result will be shown in a new tab page of your browser. That’s it!
