Telerik RadControls for SilverlightTelerik released their first CTP of RadControls for Silverlight2. It's been a long time since their last CTP which targeted Silverlight 1. Now they support the latest changes in the new plugin - DataBinding, VisualStateManager, Templates, Styles, UI Virtualization, etc.

This CTP includes some of the most wanted Silverlight controls like TreeView, Menu and Upload. I'm sure a lot of people are excited especially about the TreeView. I've played with it a bit and it does meet my expectations for fully supported keyboard, tri-state mode, drag and drop, multi-node selection, etc. It is smooth and looks really native.

The rest of the controls included in the release are

All of the controls are completely lookless and you just have to use your imagination to style them to fit your needs. For example check out the TreeView styled as a bracket scheme. Both the TreeView and Menu support hierarchical DataBinding and Templates, WPF-like routed events, Themming/Skinning and full keyboard support.

One of the key features in the suite is its source code compatibility with WPF - Silverlight and WPF are sharing the source code so all controls will have exactly the same API and Appearance.

All the controls are available as a free download on Telerik's website at http://www.telerik.com/silverlight
