User Interface Engineer/Silverlight Developer

Scion Staffing, http://scionstaffing.com/, the Bay Area’s staffing specialists, has an immediate need for a contract Silverlight Developer.  Our client, a prestigious media outlet, is seeking to staff this contract ASAP for a 6+ month project (could be a year or two depending). This is a W-2 opportunity only. This position is within our client’s technology lab and is a very exciting opportunity to work on an IT project at a world-renowned organization.

The ideal candidate will:

· Apply extensive results qualified expertise to building rich user interfaces using Silverlight 3.0 with SharePoint and Microsoft BI.

· Work independently and in conjunction with a team of senior engineers.

· Have experience working in an agile development environment with practical experience applying the principles of continuous to Silverlight based interfaces

· Have developed interfaces using ComponentOne Silverlight controls

· Be comfortable working with the Bing Maps Silverlight control

 

Experience Requirements:

· 6+ years of experience building user interfaces with the latest Microsoft technologies.

· 2 years of experience building user interfaces with Silverlight.

· Experience building Silverlight interfaces with SharePoint 2007 and SQL Enterprise Analysis Services.

· Demonstrated experience and understanding of version control strategies, unit testing and automation options for Silverlight based interfaces.

· Excellent client interaction skills are required along with excellent verbal and written communication skills.

· Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or Engineering.

Desired Skills:

· Prior consulting experience.

· Familiarity or experience working with SharePoint 2010

A leading candidate would have experience in the following solution domains:

· Enterprise Content Management (taxonomy, classification, normalization, workflow, versioning, etc).

· Agile Development with continuous integration (TeamCity, NAnt, NUnit, etc.).

 Pay Rate: This position pays an hourly rate of about $65.00 hourly DOE.
